PowerPoint presentations are convenient and mandatory in many places, including some offices. However, the problem starts when you make the presentation with a custom font, move it to another computer, and try to edit it. How to embed fonts in PowerPoint
You can retain fonts when editing PPT on a different PC. If you use a custom font, enable Embed all characters & fonts option in PowerPoint 2019/16. To do so: To know more about these steps, read on. At first, open up the PowerPoint and click on the File option, which is visible on the top menu bar. After that, click on the Options button that you can find in the bottom-left corner. Then, you should switch to the Save tab.
Here you can find a label called Prevent fidelity when sharing this presentation. You can find an option named Embed fonts in the file. Make a tick in the corresponding checkbox and select Embed all characters. There is another option called Embed only the characters used in the presentation. If you select this option, it will retain only the used characters, and you might get problems when using a different character, which has not been used in the PPT file. Therefore, it is wise to select the second option, which is called Embed all characters. After that, click the OK button to save the change. These steps will be helpful if you need to retain fonts for all the future presentations. However, if you need to do the same for only one presentation, there is no need to go through all these options, as mentioned above. Instead, you can expand the Tools drop-down list, and select Save Options. After that, you can find the same options to embed fonts alongside the presentation.
